Vol 87. No. 13 — OCTOBER 1987
Employee: J. Miller
Date: 10/13/1987
Location: Arkeys Entertainment - Sector 4
I was doing the night shift, just like tonight. The green walls felt like they were closing in. At 3 AM, the shark appeared in the window - not the animatronic, something ruined, broken, with teeth like broken glass.
I panicked and tried the audio lure, but I hit the wrong button. The power cut out. That's when I saw the pufferfish - black, impossible, covered in cameras that weren't recording anything. Just... watching.
It touched the glass. Not the window glass - it touched the air between us. My watch stopped. My heart stopped for three beats. I felt it.
When the lights came back, it was gone. But I saw my reflection in the window... and it was still there, behind me, smiling.
I don't work nights anymore. I don't sleep anymore. I don't look at mirrors.
[This report was found pinned to the wall of the security office. Employee Miller was found in a catatonic state three days later. The poster remains as a warning.]
You didn't survive the night shift.
Shift complete. You survived Arkeys Entertainment.
But they'll be back tonight. They always come back.
