We are simplifying our Terms of Use, including clarifications around the use of AI tools and their data use. Terms describing AI Features, previously located under AI-Based Tools Supplemental Terms, are now integrated into User and Creator Terms.
2. Safety & Moderation
We have added clarifying language to our Online Safety section describing our moderation practices. We clarify the role of Group/Community Owners to improve platform transparency.
3. Advertising & Commercial Content
We are updating policies to improve transparency around ads, clarify eligibility, and provide disclosure on brand advertising. Commercial content in experiences is strictly moderated. Personalized and non-personalized ad visibility is now clearly defined.
4. Creator UGC & IP
We simplified Roblox's rights to use Creator UGC in marketing. We provided clarification regarding our intellectual property tools and derivative works created within the platform.
5. Subscriptions & Services
Clarified pricing for Premium subscriptions and Extended Services (including overage dues). Subscription terms are now broadened across all service types.
6. APIs & Law Enforcement
Updated requirements for using our APIs. We have added language describing our practices for sharing information with authorities and responding to government law enforcement requests.
